Imagine you throwing shoes at your country leader here in Malaysia.

You might end up in the ISA (well, it seems to round up people with any cause available)

Check out this man who hurled TWO, yes, TWO shoes at George W. Bush.

This news is kinda old, but then, I just knew about it today. Blame me for not keeping in tabs with the world news.

A round of applause for Bush for being so calm despite being the public's enemy. And he still can ask, "So what if he threw the shoes at me?" I take my hats off you, Mr President.

On the other note, Geoge Bush can really consider joining us for dodgeball competitions after his step down from the presidential next year. That guy can dodge!!

p/s: The last thing that I heard that is that throwing shoes at someone is the greatest insult to the particular person. And yes, the one who threw the shoes at Bush is a Iraqi journalist.

Movies~ Race to Witch Mountain, UP

Race to Witch Mountain is a remake of the original 1975 film Escape to Witch Mountain. The film is directed by Andy Fickman and stars Dwayne Johnson, AnnaSophia Robb,Alexander Ludwig, and Carla Gugino . Filming began in March 2008. Race to Witch Mountain is scheduled to be released on March 13, 2009.

For years, story had speculated about a secret place in the middle of Nevada desert, known for unexplained phenomena and strange sightings. It is called Witch Mountain, and when a cab driver (Dwayne Johnson) finds two teens with supernatural powers in his cab, he suddenly finds himself in the middle of an adventure that he can't explain. When they discover that the only chance for them to save the world lies in the unraveling world of the Witch Mountain, the race begins, as the governments, the mobsters, as well as extra terrerstrials try to stop them. Carl Fredricksen (Edward Asner) is 78 years old and walks like a hunchback with his tripod cane. When Carl was a child, he met and eventually married a girl named Ellie who grew up in a small midwestern town. Ellie always dreamed of exploring the mountains but passed away before she got a chance. Now, when developers threaten to move him into an assisted living home, Carl decides to fulfill his promise to Ellie. To accomplish this, he befriends a chubby 9-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell. The two opposites match up for thrilling adventures as they encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains, and all the terrifying creatures that wait in the jungle.

Up is an upcoming computer-animated 3-D film being produced by Pixar Animation Studios. It will be distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, and is scheduled for release on May 29, 2009. The film is directed by Monsters, Inc. director Pete Docter and features the voices of Edward Asner, Christopher Plummer, Jordan Nagai and John Ratzenberger.

Well, I enjoyed animation movies, so let's just cross our fingers and hope that both of these movies can be a hit at the box office.

I am still with the Westlife fever if you ask me.

Remember that I told you guys before about how my English teacher in Form 4 tease me about Westlife? If you haven't. just scroll down, it is down there.. somewhere.

Well, ironically something happen today. I mean yesterday, given the time is already over 12am. It was Miss Wee's birthday (the English teacher) and I sms-ed her to wish her Happy Birthday. As usual, I mentioned to her that she does not need to worry because I had already forgotten how old she is. (well, she don't really like to reveal her age you see..)

Anyway, the funny part was that I told her that I am already attached. The first reaction that she gave me was, "Wah wat ur bf lk like? Westlife?" (yes, she is my English teacher and that is the way she sms) I was laughing when I received her reply and told her that it was nothing of that sort.

I told her that my boyfriend is not good-looking, but then he treat me very well. Then she replied me saying that I was smart to choose for good ones than going for handsome ones.
And the last thing that I sms-ed her was telling her that I am already attached for the past six months.

Six months.

Woah.

That equals to half a year.

Six months ain't long, but it ain't short either.

He may not be the best looking guy, but he is good enough for me.

6 months and still counting.

I ain't good at this, so I will just say everthing through these videos. My favourites.

Movies~ Taiyou no uta

Gloomy day today.
And surprisingly cold.
And I am still hungry because the dinner was stale just now and I feel like as if I had nothing for dinner.

Anyway, totally random-ness strikes again. So I am blogging randomly (again) and while I am typing on the keyboard, at the same time I am actually thinking of what can I post in my blog today.

Then I found this~ YUI-san!!

There aren't many Japanese movie that I like (apart from anime of course) but this is a must-watch.

The Midnight Sun, or better known as Taiyou No Uta, was YUI's debut on the television screen.

In the movie, she plays the role of Kaoru Amane , a 16 year old girl who suffers from the rare skin condition xeroderma pigmentasium (XP), a disease that makes the ultraviolet radiation of sunlight potentially lethal to her. Yui's character is partly based on herself, as she is an amateur singer and guitarist in the movie.

YUI performed 3 songs in the movie and the most notable one will of course be, Goodbye Days.

Well, this movie may not be as touching as One litre of Tears (nope, I did not watch that) , but still, it is still one of the best Japanese movie ever that I watched. Maybe it is due to the fact that YUI is in it.

But just to let you know, this movie is from quite a few years back, so do not say that I did not tell you about this.

The number sounds familiar?

Of course.

This is the day that everything on Earth wil eventually come to end.

December 12, 2012.

I personally just stumble across this few hours ago and come to this surprising this fact (speaking of not keeping in tab with the world news)

Not so long ago, many people were convinced of the world’s impending doom.
Nostradamus predicted terror descending from the sky in July 1999. On New Year’s Day 2000, we made it unscathed through Y2K and the near-hysterical scenarios that every computer across the planet would crash due to a basic time-keeping glitch.

So why does this prediction seem different?

One of the main theories driving this prophecy is that the Mayan calendar ends on Dec. 21, 2012. The Mayans studied our sun and made their prophecies based on the cycles of the sun.
Based on their observations, the Mayans predicted that from the initial date of the start of their civilization, 3113 B.C., one cycle being completed would be 5,125 years in their future, Dec. 21, 2012. The sun, having received a powerful ray of synchronizing light from the center of the galaxy, would change its polarity which would produce a great cosmic event that would propel human kind to be ready to cross into a new era, "The Golden Age." According to the Mayan calendar, it is the last day for them and it is the Final Age for them. (check out here). Many catostrophe were already predicte for that particular year itself and the most notable one will be on Christmas Eve 2012, the sky is divided by the sun and all dry land begins to rise. The oceans respond to the tectonic shifts and the great flooding of the Earth begins.

Well, talk about end of the world. How much do you believe in it?

I guess Roland Emmerich does. From the guy who directed "The Day After Tomorrow", comes another epic on how the world shall end in a day.

In this movie that is set to release in 2009, it talks about.. what else? But Doomsday.

So what will you do if you are only left with 3hours in this world before everything perish?

Will you run back to your family? Will you stay side by side with your loved ones?

Or will you seek closure that you had never done before?

Is far beyond my thoughts.

But if it really happens, I want to stay by his side (you know who you are). But for now, I just want to live life to the fullest.

I don't really know what can I blog about today.

Nothing in my mind. Nothing.

But somehow someone said that I am just "3 minute-heat".

So here I am. Blogging.

Thanks to Kenny, I somehow managed to take a peek at the trailer of the movie, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I sooooo going to watch this movie! Brat Pitt in an amazing role which see him reprising the main character from 85-years old to a young Benjamin Button.

I thought of showing you guy the trailer, but I guess I can just save the time if you just go to Kenny's blog and check yourself (I am helping you promote weih!),which you can just click on the rightside bar.

There are really a lot of movie that I wanted to watch coming out next year, but first on the top of my list gonna be Angels and Demons.

For those who had read Dan Brown's book, yes, it is from that particular book. Dubbed as the "2nd Da Vinci Code", what makes me more excited about this movie is because of Tom Hanks! Yes, the Academy Award winner is back as Robert Langdon, the same role that he played in Da Vinci Code. Sorry peeps, say what you want, but Tom Hanks has always been my favourite actor.

Oh ya, Ewan McGregor will be in the movie, as well as Israeli actress Ayelet Zurer who will star opposite Tom Hanks.The latter was chosen ahead of Naomi Watts who was initially given the sript.

With Vatican City banning the production crew after the first movie (The Da Vinci Code), the crew sure go the long distance by doing this....

Yup, the crew eventually rebuilt Vatican City!! Speaking of big budget!!

I remember how I used to have their posters on the wall.

I remember that there's them in our Form Four English textbook, and they are the reason why Miss Wee (my English teacher) had always 'fight' with me in the class. This is because of this conversation:

Miss Wee: I think most of you girls like them because they are handsome, but too bad, they are taken.

Me: Just one only, Miss. I still have 4 more chances!

Miss Wee: ........... Dream on then, Hui lei.

And the next thing I know is that she spreads the word to other classes, "Hui Lei from 4sc1....." and it was also from that moment that we began to get so 'friendly' with each other.

Anyway, that is not my point.

What am I trying to say is bout this boyband.
The boyband that had grew up become man.
The band that me as a teenager (I am an adult now I suppose) used to buy their every CDs and know their every song.

However, as I grew up, I grew out of this boyband-thingy too. I almost forgotten how I used to idolised the boys (especially Shane) and sing to their every song.

That day as I was watching MTV, I came across their new MV, and it is sure very touching for all of those people there who had been supporting them all the time.

And with this~ Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, Nicky Bryne and also former member Brian McFadden, thanks for all the great songs that help me pull through my teenage years.

Some may argue that they may not be that great as they did more cover than writing their own songs.

But on the other hand, how many bands out there that can be so successful like them singing cover songs?

What topic of conversation that you and your family members usually have during dinner time?

Tonight, mine was something like this:

Mum: Why don't u eat the squid?

Nephew: I hate the black thingy.

Mum: U know u can write Chinese calligraphy with that you know..

Other family members: .............

Mum: Oh ya.. your dad and I saw the chicken that you (my nephew) told us about, it sure have lots of "holes"!

Nephew: I am just saying that it can run very fast and I ate that almost everyday back in Ipoh (his grandma house)

Mum: That chicken sure is big size, but the meat sure does not taste good.

Dad: Of course, their meat is much more harder compared to other chicken meat.

(p/s to readers: apparently the chicken with "holes" does exist, and it is kinda like kampung chicken)

Anyway, why am I telling you about chickens anyway??

This is the main part that totally surprised me.

Mum: I remember last time your grandma (my grandma that is) use to rear a chicken and it is almost 5 kilogrammes.

Sis: What 5 kg!! It was 7 and a half kg ok! Until the chicken can barely walk! No.. It can't walk at all!!

Mum: Oh yeah.. that is the time that your grandma exchanged the chicken to some neighbors for another 3 kg chicken. Speaking of the loss that she had made.

Sis: Yeah la! I still remembered that when nearby neighbors come to buy chicken eggs from us... When I gave them the chicken eggs, they looked at me and said, "ah moi, I think u made a mistake already-la, I want chicken eggs, not duck eggs!" I can only tell them the eggs from the chickens in my house are all A++ size!!

Me: .....................!!!

I did grew up in kampung area with my grandma, I knew that we used to rear chickens and ducks, but 7 and a half kg chicken?? How can I missed out on that?? This is ridiculous!! 5kg chicken is like so humongous, and I can't really imagine... 7 and a half kg?? What does that chicken ate??

I know this post is a bit lame, but I just can't get this out of my head.

Afterall, it is nice getting yourself way from all the chaos around the world once in a while and talk about chicken!!!

Do not mess around with this kiddo, he may look the same as his brother (of course, since they are twins) , just look out for the number 21 shirt that he is wearing.

A right full back with the attacking mentality,this teenager had already caused Sir Alex Ferguson selection problem now that captain Gary Neville is back in action after months of injury.

Rafael was born in Rio De Janeiro, and together with his twin brother, they played for Brazil youth team and joined Fluminese before being scouted by Manchester United.

The new sensation~ Rafael Da Silva

He was the shock inclusion by Sir Alex in the line up against Peterborough for the Barry Fry's testimonial match. His patience waiting for the chance to come finally paid off when he was handed a competitive debut against Newcastle United on 17 August 2008 for a cameo 10 minutes. This is the first start for the many matches, and since then he had been on the regular team and has been given regular chance to shine on the pitch this season.

His most notable performance so far had been the match between Arsenal and Manchester United when he came down from the bench and scored a consolation goal as the Gunners downed Red Devils 2-1.

At just 18 years at age, this teenager will sure on lead the team to greatest heights and to achieve more silverware in the coming season.

Procrastination is the thief of time

Well, if u understand the saying well enough. Then u should know where am I heading.

I used to learnt this proverb back in my secondary school days,but ironically enough, you will not be able to find this word in the dictionary (or did they add it in finally?).

Procrastination. A deep word with a deep meaning. To people like me of course.
Procrastinate for a day means that u had lost 24 hour of your life, procrastinate for two days means that u had just missed out on a tons of things that can be done in 48 hours.

I procrastinate all right. A lot.

(I fear that I might not getting any group mates for my assignments after they read this post)

I love doing things in the last minute. Well, not that I enjoyed it, but it is some sort of my bad habit. Assignments or housework, I always end up pushing it to another day, again and again, and until the end of the day,everything backfired on myself. And then I will end up being nagged for doing things last minute and not getting enough sleep.

I guess it is just in me that I prefer to stay up late at night and not sleeping the whole night rushing things that need to be done. Afterall, with this limited memory of mine, there is no way that I will be able to remember all the facts that I had took in if I were to start studying a month or a few weeks before the exams (excuse and excuse).

And here I am procrastinating again, by telling u how am I procrastinating again. =)

Memories~ Intro

As requested by a very 38-friend,

This is the journey of our Form Six life.

(warning: this may sound a little boring to many people, but please bear with it until the very end)

Subliminal message says: "I am forced to blog about this by that very 38-friend, and this post have to be long, very long, so please bear with it!!"

It all started when this pathetic gal who does not know which school in JB was actually the best for Form Six. Being newly transferred to another city, this gal knows nothing at all about her new city and the school that she was about to be in. "Well, it can't be that bad," she told herself. Afterall, SHE WAS THE ONE WHO WANTS TO BE IN THAT SCHOOL.

Located in the heart of the city of Johor Bahru (or is it?) lies the historical (exaggerating again) Sultan Ibrahim Girls School. Without barely knowing anyone, this gal actually went all the way to the school which was located quite far from where she is living, and register on her own. Halfway through everyting, the secretary told her that she has to be in the school on Friday (she went to register herslef on Wednesday) with her full uniform and everything needed for studies. The gal protested, saying that she do not even own a new uniform yet. But the secretary insisted that she have to b there on Friday.

Poor little gal~ She was there in the school on Friday all right. But one thing is missing from sight. Her companions, her 'supposed-to-be' classmates were not there. And you know why? Because it was an Open Day for the school and Lower Six students were given the day off. So in conclusion, that gal was not supposed to be there after all.

But there is a bonus for being at school at that time, she gets to hang around with seniors and to know more of them. The first thing that she learnt about the school is the nicknames of the teachers. "Big Bun", "Ah Nan", and "Tigress" are among the few nicknames that gal can comprehend on.

The senior bring her to the registration and there she was, throwing herself into the unknown world of the teacher nicknamed "Big Bun" by the other students. "What a small world," she thought when the teacher told her that he was from the same hometown as she is and the most shocking news that he was apparently one of her ex-classmates cousin. Speaking about coincidence.

After the deception by the school secretary, this gal finally gets some real action by attending the school on Monday. Upon reaching the school hall, the whispers started as everyone in the Form Six lines started to ask each other, "Who is that new girl?". Assigned to be in Lower Six Science Two class, that gal just stands there and hope not to be noticed (as if) and tried to blend into the Science one line.

Well, she failed miserably if u ask me if she managed to be part of the Science One students. Anyway, she went into the class with her other classmates in Lower Six Science Two, and being bombarded (angry responses if u ask me) with questions such as, "What are u doing here?", "why do u come here when u have other choices?" etc. I guess that gal finally realize at that moment that she had made the wrong choice after all. Maybe just for that moment.

The class monitor, a petite Indian girl named Santhiah somehow wants the new gal to go in front of the class to introduce herself, but no way that gal would have do that. The class is somehow different from what she had expected, as there were only five Chinese including herself in the 30-odd people class. On the other hand, in the other class, there were only 5 Indians in the class while the others were Chinese. Speaking about racial discrimination.

Never mind all those stuff, but the worst part dawned on this gal when she realizes that she was the only Chinese in the class taking Biology! Now this is something new. But however, the class teacher, Mr Ng is just too nice. To an extent that u will enjoy his class. Eventhough he is teaching Maths (yup, u heard me correctly)

This gal's life in Lower Six Science Two just started. One and a half year, how is she going to survive all the stress and studies? Survey done (I don't really know who) somehow says that STPM is much tougher than any exams in the world. So how true is this?

Happiness can be achieved in a night~ (once in a while)

It had really been a night for me. Seriously.

Nothing much compared to any of you out there, may be mundane and lil' boring in your perception, but still I think I am the most happy person on Earth, at least for this moment.

First of all, all of my friends in Form Six gathered together on MSN (which is one tall order as they can never online at the same time) and we had tons of laughter even though we were just communicating by words. Of course this is just lame, but I still enjoyed it.

Then it was laoer making the day much brighter for me. Imagine two gals chatting over few hours over the phone (I already lost count on how many hours we actually chatted) and telling each other stupid things. The feeling is just..... good I guess. After all, it is really hard to get hard sit there and talk for so many hours. (are u reading this my dear 'brother'?)

To cap it all for my wonderful night being alone was that someone actually send me some sweet message which left me almost crying at the end of it. I had never expecting anything like that, and I really really am touched with that message, eventhough it may mean nothing to you. I shall use it as my alarm ya? =)

Oh ya.. what a night...

Zits by Jerry Scott and Jim Borgman (who by the way is a Pulitzer winner) talks about Jeremy Duncan, a 15 years old teenager that always had the feeling that his parents somehow do not belong to his world. Check out his daily life with hilarous witty remarks by his clique of friends as well as his parents (his mum is working from home while his dad is an orthodonthist) who tried so hard to communicate with this teenager.

The comic books for Zits are rarely found in bookstores, and even if you did, it does cost a bomb, given the fact that it is directly imported from the States. However, u can check out this link.

Friendship~

I watched along as my cousin took out the Christmas tree decoration for her shop. I sat down there and ponder.. how fast time flies!

I remember the day when I first step into UCSI, the chill of being alone in a totally different place without knowing anyone. And there I was, in the class, Intro to Mass Comm, and the lecturer put me in the same group with Ley Lynn, Sheldon and Tiffany. They were the very first few friends that I had met in UCSI. Given the fact that we do not have many students in our batch, all of us somehow get together well and formed our own clique.

We spend our time in class together, and gossip bout this and that. I guess I will not be able to find any gals like them anymore once I left the university. How time flies, we had already been together with each other for more than a year.

One year~ it is not a very long time, but what we had achieved together in one year, what we had done together as a gang of friends had already achieved beyond words. With them around, life in university to me sure brighten up and I really do enjoy their company.

With another new year coming, I wished that this bond among us will be able to last long. And may all of us be able to strive under all possibilities.

This song is from a Japanese singer, YUI, who had been in my idol list ever since my nephew introduced her music to me.
"Tokyo" is the name of the song and this song is one of the most touching song from YUI. It depicts YUI's journey through her life in the music scene, but the meaning of the song somehow touches my heart.

So here is the music video of the song together with the English translation.

Manchester United 1-0 Sunderland

After relentless attacks up front, Manchester United finally found the back of the net thanks to a Nemanja Vidic's strike in the dying minutes. The goal came in the 90th minutes when the Serbian was the first one to react to the deflected ball by Michael Carrick.

It was the Serbian's 8th goal in his United carrier and the defender without any doubt, had rescued the Devils from embarassment by drawing without goal at home with the lowly placed Sunderland.

The managerless Sunderland, whose defenders were kept busy the whole night, were determined to keep a clean sheet against the Devils. With the Black Cat's back four lead by Whitebread and Malbranque, the Red's front found it hard to break into the defensive wall.

With Ronaldo back in the ranks after missing out the last game through suspension, Manchester United looked dangerous up front and forced some really good saves from Falop, the Hungarian Sunderland goalkeeper.
Fletcher and Carrick in the midfield, together with the likes of Park Ji-Sung, the Red Devils dominate the midfield before Fletcher was substituted with Anderson in the 68th minute. Giggs came on for Ronaldo after the latter suffered a hip injury after a collision with the Sunderland defender.

Manchester United looks like they might not be able to capitalise for the chance to take up the three points after spurned chances and chances in front of the goal. Tanio came on for Malbranque and produces a fine tackle on Anderson, which was the only visible chance for the young Brazilian to score his first goal in his Manchester United carrier.

It is only in the dying minutes of 90th minutes, Michael Carrick shoot the ball at the goalpost, deflected and the ball land right where Nemanja Vidic was standing .... and shoot!! The Serbian had done what his teammates had failed to do the whole night, which was finding the back of the net.

Manchester United vs Sunderland

The third game in a week for Manchester United saw the The Black Cats traveling to the Theater Of Dreams following their manager of two years, as well as former Manchester United captain,Roy Keane's resignation.

With four straight defeats, the latest inflicted at home with a 4-1 loss to Bolton, Roy Keane tendered up his resignation despite chairman Niall Quinn's persuasion asking him to stay on. The former Irish captain is temporary replaced by Ricky Sbrajia with help Neil Bailey and also Dwight Yorke, another former Manchester United player.

Sir Alex, who expressed shock at the departure of his former captain commented on the fact that the lifespan of a manager is getting shorter and shorter nowadays. (from this link)

Sir Alex however should be glad that he was given the edge to play against Sunderland under such situations and should grab the full opporturnity to close on the gap with table leaders Liverpool and Chelsea by snatching a win.

But the question remains ahead of tonight's game against the Black Cats, who will start up front? With Tevez in hot red form after finding the back of the net four times against Blackburn, Sir Alex is having selection dilemma after having Rooney back in form as well as Berbatov, who was back after an injury. So the hundred million question is, who shall start UP FRONT?

Is it Rooney who finally regained back his scoring touch?

or the Argentinian who is in red-hot form?

or the hitman with amazing ball-control?

Sir Alex's side was dealt with a blow when left back Patrice Evra was given a four-match suspension after the FA found him for guilty for improper conduct during a warm down at Stamford Bridge on 26th April. His suspension will begin on 22nd December.

The Red Devils however,was boosted by the return of Paul Scholes after 2 months of injury. The midfielder, who played for the last 15 minutes in the match against Blackburn, might not be on the field today against Sunderland as Sir Alex decided not to let his veteran midfielder take the risk of being injured again ahead of the World Club Championship in Japan. Darren Flether, who felt a hamstring during the derby against Manchester City, was given the green light ahead of today's game.

Sunderland will be missing ex-Manchester United player Kieron Richardson through suspension,
but hit man Djibril Cisse will sure provide a handful of threats to the Manchester United defense.

After a long time....

So I had finally abandoned my old blog (which no one knows) and start ranting again.

Well, people had been asking me what am I up to this whole two months, since I am not doing any internship, nor am I working. Well, just call me lazybump. I am really too lazy to move around! Apart from all of the writings that needed to be done, I spend most of my times watching anime, which speaking of it....

GUYS!! U MUST WATCH THIS!!

EYESHIELD 21!!

Although it still cannot be compared to Prince of Tennis (Kikumaru-Eiji-kun!!), this anime still provide the edge for sports-anime loving fans like me.
The story of this anime revolves around the American Football team in Deimon High School which was led by a devil-like captain, who is by the way, one funny character. One fast guy by the name Kobayakawa Sena was dragged into the club by the captain, and was given the green eyeshield as well as the number 21 jersey to protect his identity. And hence the story goes on...

It is kinda typical storyline but hey,it still satisfies me.

Oh ya.. you can find this anime in Youtube, although it is only up until episode 34. Narutowirez have it too, but then, most of it were in Megaupload, which always cause trouble for me.
